Most bathroom contractors make vague appointments, say, between 9am and 1pm or worse, between 10am and 4pm. We give you a precise appointment window, for example 9-9:30am or 1-1:30pm. Our handymen must call the office when they arrive so we know they are on time. If a handyman can't get to our customers on time, he can't work here. We don't charge to come out and give you a price and we don't give estimates. The word "estimate" means an approximation, and contractors use this word deliberately so they can protect themselves if a job takes longer than expected. Some construction companies even use "estimates" as a strategy. That is, they bait you with a lower price and then come back to you later with a higher price. If the job takes us longer than expected the price remains the same. It is guaranteed in writing.

When the job is finished you'll be given a completion certificate to sign, which says the contract has been fulfilled to your satisfaction.
